Good Morning!!
I would like to share my $2.00 Dollar Tree project.
~CLICK THE IMAGE TO SEE IT BIGGER~
The wooden candle stick was white. I painted it black, added a coat of modge podge and while wet, sprinkled cinnamon. I let dry then added another coat of modge podge.
For the candle, I printed out the word I wanted then traced it on my candle with a stylus. Then engraved the words. I then painted the words black and on went a coat of modge podge. After it was completely dry, I used Deco Art walnut stain to make it look old.
This is for decoration purposes only but you can surely make a hole in the center and use a battery powered tea light.
I think modge podge is the best thing ever!!!
Everything looks great! I like modge podge too! I use it for a lot of things!
ReplyDeleteThank you! ~Liz
ReplyDeleteThat is really neat...you would never think it was bought at the Dollar Tree:)

That is really awesome!!
ReplyDeletelooks to me like you forgot to add a zero to that $2 price tag... I love the finished look
ReplyDeleteSo easy to do!! I wish I had bought all of the candle sticks for my shows.
ReplyDeleteNice inexpensive project. Turned out beautifully. Don't you just love to tell how "much" you spent on something? I do - the cheaper the better, as long as it looks expensive that is! ~Ann
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it! On my way out to Dollar Tree right now!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Hugs,
Shari
That looks wonderfully prim!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did to the candle...I would have never had thought of engraving one like that...and now that you showed yours, it makes me want to do one. I will definately add it to my wish list!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
